At Sakana AI, we are advancing world-class R&D through unique generative AI techniques inspired by nature. Our Product Team is on a mission to leverage our proprietary research to conceptualize and launch AI products that defy traditional boundaries. We are looking for a Business Intern to support this mission alongside our product managers.
This is an internship position based in Tokyo, for a minimum of three months at 40 hours per week. This is not a shadowing role; you will own real operational work from your first week and experience firsthand how AI products are built, launched, and grown from Japan to the world. Since we operate as a global team, Business-level Japanese and the ability to read and write English are required.
Roles and Responsibilities
- PM Support: Support product managers across the product lifecycle, from organizing user feedback and drafting requirements to assisting feature launch operations.
- User Support Operations: Help run user support for our products: investigate inquiries, draft replies, maintain FAQs and help documentation, and channel user voices back into the product roadmap.
- Sales support: Assist enterprise sales activities by preparing presentation materials, taking meeting notes, and handling post-meeting follow-ups for domestic and global clients.
- Market Research: Conduct market and competitive research on LLM and Generative AI products and distill findings into actionable insights for the team.
- Data Analysis: Track key usage and support metrics, and prepare simple dashboards and regular reports.
- Go-to-Market Support: Support campaign operations, event preparation, and enterprise sales activities such as materials, meeting notes, and follow-ups.
- Global Collaboration: Collaborate effectively as part of a global team that operates in both Japanese and English.
Qualifications and Skills
- Enrollment: Currently enrolled in a university or graduate school, or equivalent early-career experience.
- AI Fluency: Strong interest in generative AI and its practical application in society; you use LLM products daily and keep up with the latest trends on your own.
- Language: Business-level Japanese and the ability to read and write English for internal and customer communication.
- Data Skills: Basic data-handling skills (spreadsheets); experience with SQL or BigQuery is a plus.
- Experience: Experience in customer support, community management, or startup operations is a plus.
- Ownership: A self-starter with high ownership, comfortable moving fast amid ambiguity.
- Drive: A history of pursuing ambitious goals with extraordinary passion and dedication, whether in studies, research, or personal projects.

役割と責任
- ユーザーフィードバックの整理、要件・仕様ドラフトの作成、新機能ローンチ時のオペレーション補助など、プロダクトマネージャーの業務を支援する。
- 問い合わせの一次調査や回答ドラフトの作成、FAQ・ヘルプドキュメントの整備など、自社プロダクトのユーザーサポート運用を担い、ユーザーの声をプロダクトロードマップに還元する。
- LLM・生成AIプロダクトの市場調査・競合調査を行い、チームにインサイトを共有する。
- 利用データやサポートデータを分析して重要指標をトラッキングし、簡易ダッシュボードや定例レポートを作成する。
- キャンペーン運用、イベント準備、法人営業の支援（資料作成、議事録、フォローアップ等）など、GTM（Go-to-Market）活動を支援する。
- 日本語と英語両方を用いるグローバルなチームにおけるコラボレーション
応募資格およびスキル
- 大学または大学院に在籍中の方、あるいはそれに準ずる初期キャリアの方
- 生成AIの社会実装に対する強い関心。LLMプロダクトを日常的に使いこなし、最新トレンドに自らキャッチアップしていること
- ビジネスレベルの日本語運用能力、および社内・顧客コミュニケーションに必要な英語の読み書き能力
- スプレッドシート等での基本的なデータ集計スキル（SQL・BigQueryの経験があれば尚可）
- カスタマーサポート、コミュニティ運営、スタートアップでの業務経験があれば尚可
- 曖昧な状況でも自ら手を動かして前に進められるオーナーシップ
- 人生において、並外れた熱意をもって取り組んでいることがある
