At Sakana AI, we are advancing world-class R&D through unique generative AI techniques inspired by nature. Through Sakana Chat 🐟, Sakana Marlin 🐬, Sakana Fugu 🐡, Sakana Namazu and our API, we deliver this value to enterprises, developers and government agencies in Japan and globally.
Our Marketing Team is newly formed and works alongside the Product and GTM teams. It owns the company narrative, product naming and messaging, the lead-to-opportunity infrastructure, the developer community, and enterprise demand. This position is the first dedicated Product Marketing member of the team. Our products and research evolve continuously, and you will own how each new product, model and feature is named, described and launched, working directly with product managers, researchers, Design and Communications.
Responsibilities
- Own the product layer of our narrative architecture: for each product, define the one-line role, the primary promise it carries, and the clear separation between proven claims and hypotheses
- Design and execute launch plans for new products and features from pre-launch to post-launch; set success metrics with product, research and communications teams, and run the post-launch review
- Lead product and plan naming within our naming rules, including model display names and pricing tiers, in collaboration with product managers and research teams
- Produce product content: product pages, launch posts, one-pagers, and the product sections of customer cases; keep the website, sales decks and product introduction materials in sync with current names and pricing
- Maintain the product messaging source of truth and keep it aligned with brand kits (Design) and wording rules (Communications)
- Feed market and customer insights back to product and research teams
- Drive seamless collaboration across global teams and markets utilizing both Japanese and English
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing for developer platforms, B2B SaaS, or technical AI products, with launches you can describe from brief to results
- Ability to write clearly in both English and Japanese, and to edit drafts from researchers and engineers into customer language without changing what is true
- Enough technical curiosity to understand what our products do and to discuss capabilities with engineers and researchers. We expect you to use AI tools to read documentation, try sample code and check your understanding; what matters is that you take responsibility for the accuracy of what you publish
- Experience working across Product, Sales and Design in an environment where the product changes frequently
- Ability to autonomously drive initiatives in an unestablished, fast-paced startup environment
- Native or professional fluency in both Japanese and English
- Preferred: experience naming products, models or plans, including trademark and multilingual checks

マーケティングチームは新設の組織で、プロダクトチームおよびGTMチームと並走します。会社のナラティブ、プロダクトの命名とメッセージング、リードから商談までの基盤、開発者コミュニティ、エンタープライズ需要の創出を担います。本ポジションはチーム最初のプロダクトマーケティング専任メンバーです。プロダクトと研究は絶えず進化しており、新しいプロダクト、モデル、機能の名前、説明、ローンチの進め方を、プロダクトマネージャー、リサーチャー、デザイン、広報と直接連携しながら担っていただきます。
役割と責任
- ナラティブ構造のプロダクト層を担う。各プロダクトについて、一文の役割、担う約束、証明済みの主張と仮説の区別を定義する
- 新プロダクト・新機能のローンチ計画をプレローンチからポストローンチまで設計、実行する。プロダクト、研究、広報の各チームと成功指標を策定し、ローンチ後の振り返りを行う
- 命名ルールに基づき、プロダクト名、モデルの表示名、料金プラン名の決定を主導する。プロダクトマネージャーおよび研究チームと連携する
- プロダクトコンテンツ（製品ページ、ローンチ記事、ワンページャー、導入事例の製品側）を制作し、Webサイト、営業資料、製品紹介資料を最新の名称と価格に揃える
- プロダクトメッセージングの正本を維持し、ブランドキット（デザイン）およびWording Rules（広報）との整合を保つ
- 市場や顧客から得たインサイトをプロダクトチームやリサーチャーに還元する
- 日本語と英語両方を用いるグローバルなチームおよび市場におけるコラボレーション
応募資格およびスキル
- 開発者向けプラットフォーム、B2B SaaS、あるいは技術的なAIプロダクトにおけるプロダクトマーケティングの実務経験5年以上。企画から成果まで説明できるローンチ経験
- 日本語と英語の両方で明快な文章を書き、リサーチャーやエンジニアの原稿を事実を変えずに顧客の言葉に編集できる能力
- プロダクトが何をするかを理解し、エンジニアやリサーチャーと機能について議論できる技術への好奇心。ドキュメントを読む、サンプルコードを試す、理解を確かめる、といった作業にAIツールを使うことを前提としています。重要なのは、公開する内容の正確さに自ら責任を持てることです
- プロダクトが頻繁に変わる環境で、プロダクト、営業、デザインを横断して働いた経験
- 確立された型のない環境で自律的に立ち上げを推進できる能力
- 日本語と英語を高いレベルで使いこなせること
