Sakana Chat
Sakana Chat
Sakana Chat

English Announcement
Meet My Fish: See what Sakana Chat remembers about you
A clearer, more visual way to understand the memories behind your conversations.
👉Try Sakana Chat: https://chat.sakana.ai/
Have you ever mentioned something to Sakana Chat once, then had it resurface days later at exactly the right moment?
That’s memory at work. Until now, it has mostly stayed behind the scenes. With My Fish, you can finally see what Sakana Chat remembers about you, when those memories are used, and how they connect.
A fish that grows with every conversation
Every conversation feeds your fish a little. Over time, it learns the details that make Sakana Chat more useful to you: how you like your answers, what you’re working on, and the people, places, and projects that matter to you.
My Fish gives those memories a home. It’s a place to watch your fish grow and make sure what it has learned still feels right.
The details worth remembering
Memory helps Sakana Chat carry useful context from one conversation to the next. Rather than keeping every detail, it focuses on information that may continue to be helpful, such as:
- How you prefer Sakana Chat to respond
- A project or goal you’re working toward
- Useful details about you
See recent activity at a glance
At the top of My Fish, a heatmap shows when Sakana Chat used your memories and when it learned something new. It remains visible as you move between views, giving you a quick sense of how your memories are being used.
Discover what your fish remembers
The Overview brings all your memories together in one place. They’re grouped into helpful categories, such as your profile, preferences, current projects, and favorite topics, so it’s easy to understand what your fish knows.
For each memory, you can see how many facts it contains, how often it has been read, and when it was last used. Open one to explore the individual facts and the conversations they came from. You can even jump straight back to the original chat.
Explore how your memories connect
Switch to Connections to see your memories arranged as a living map around your fish.
- Closer memories are more recent. The nearer a memory is to the center, the more recently it was used.
- Bigger memories are used more often. The size of each node reflects how frequently that memory has been used.
- Faded memories may be getting stale. A faded node hasn’t been used in 30 days or more.
- Chords reveal relationships. Lines connect memories that appeared together in the same reply, showing which ideas Sakana Chat tends to combine.
Select any node to see its facts, when it was learned, where it was used, and which memories often appear alongside it. Each related memory is a link, so you can follow the connections and wander through the map. Select the fish in the center to open your profile.
Look back at what your fish learned
The History view provides a detailed timeline of every read and write. Expand any write to see exactly which facts were added.
Notice memory at work while you chat
You don’t need to open Settings to see memory in action. Whenever Sakana Chat reads or saves a memory while composing a response, its thinking process now displays a small chip. For example, you might see “Checked memory: Trip to Spain, Hiking” or “Learned something new: Osaka marathon.”
Select a chip and My Fish opens directly to that memory, giving you instant context without interrupting your conversation.
Take your fish with you
My Fish is designed for mobile too. In the Connections map, selecting a node opens a drawer from the bottom while the graph shifts to keep your chosen memory in view. Swipe up for full details, or select another node to keep exploring.
This is only the beginning
Making memory visible is the first step. Next, we’re exploring more intelligent ways to help memories take shape, evolve, and stay useful over time.
What would you like your fish to do next? We’d love to hear from you.
Ready to meet your My Fish? Click your account at the bottom of the sidebar, then open Settings → Memory → “View memories in My Fish” on web or mobile.
